From 1990…

Sport Project as Sport Club is affiliated to CONI – Italian Olympic Committee and to FIPAV – Italian Volleyball Federation – and also to OPES

Sport Project started his activities in 1990  after a long experience of the founder in the Unites States working in traditional and Volleyball International Camps.

The first camp in Italy was held in Norcia, Umbria. After 7 years in Umbria we selected Pescasseroli as favourite site for the Summer Volleyball Camp.

Since 1990  we also organised beach volleyball tournaments and clinics and other sport activities together with the National Sport Federations.

SUMMER VOLLEYBALL CAMP
for boys and girls from 6 to 17 years!

If you want to develop your skills, learn and specialise the volleyball techniques… this is the right place for you!
You will find well organised training sessions, with same level team groups. You will become a better player with the counsel and help of a top level coaching team.
Beginners and experienced players will participate in two training sessions per day. We will focus our attention on the individual learning of technical skillsin al fundamentals of the game.
We will go throughout team play and tactics while having every day training matches and also with the final tournament that will end the week. In the closing ceremony every player will be greeted by the staff and the team-mates.
Practice will be held in indoor sport facilities!COACHING STAFFAll our staff is high qualified and certified coach from the Italian Volleyball Federationand has a Physical Education University degree by IUSM.
Coaches are scheduled to stay with campers all day around and they have a strong experience in working in summer camps.
Each team will be made of 14 players and will be conducted by two coaches. Also we will have at camp some high level players that will help campers to discover all the secrets of this sport.
Our staff will be coordinated by a top level technical director and all the activities will be supervised by a program director.
Safety is our first issue that is why all the activities are fully covered by our staff at any time of the day, free time included.

Francesco Castiglione is the President of Sport Project Club and also founder and Camp Director of the  International Volleyball Camp.
He worked for many years in USA at summer sport camps as head coach. He is a 3rd level coach of the Italian Volleyball Federation and in 2015 he had a Master’s Degree on Sport Management. He he is a consultant for the Italian Olympic Committee and for different Sport Federations organising National and Iternational Sport Events. He teaches Physical Education at a public high school in Rome, Italy. 

And… after Volleyball…In the free time between a spike and a dig you can enjoy and relax the exclusive outdoor pool in the hotel or take a ride in a mountain bike.
You can see the tapes of your morning practice in the video room or meet new friends while enjoying the night games and dance leaded by our staff.
We will also take a fantastic day trip in the mountains trekking in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park to discover the breathtaking scenarios and wild animals.

 

WHERE IS CAMP?Pescasseroli in the National Abruzzi Park will be the mountain site where camp is helded.
It is 2 hours and half drive from Rome. Campers and staff will stay at the Grand Hotel del Parco.
The 4 stars hotel belongs to a national hotel and resort chain called Blu Hotels. It has all the comforts requested for our programme.
The outdoor swimming pool and the beautifull park makes this hotel ideal for our volleyball camp.
We will have a reserved dining all for our camp participants and a video room to watch tapes of practice.

 

SESSIONS AND FEES  First session: 25 June – 1 July € 430,00Second session: 2-8 July € 880,00Third session: 9-15 July € 1.320,00

 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURESCamp will start at 5.00 pm on Sundays.
Campers must register from 3.00 to 5.00 pm on Sundays.

Camp will end on Saturdays after lunch at 2.00 pm.
Travel is not included. To get to Pescasseroli from Rome take A24 Autostrada direction Pescara than exit at Pescina than follow direction to Pescasseroli.
